Nobody ... it has always been habitated since the last ice age receeded. Scotland was a nation before England became one, and only in 1770 did the two join, along with Wales to become what is called today, "Great Britain".

Great Britain as a conerbation of England Scotland and Wales and Ireland was founded by King Henry the 2nd in the 12th century.As a land it was populated in ancient times as the polar ice cap receded 10 000 years ago when it was possible to walk to France as the English channel was a river at the time

No-one. Great Britain didn't exist as a political entity until the 18th century. The United Kingdom came into existence with the Act of Union of 1701. Even England wasn't really a nation until the late Anglo-Saxon period, around the time of Edward the Confessor. It was never "discovered" as such. Its existence was well-known to the Roman Empire, which is why they decided to add it to their collection of other territories during the reign of Julius Caesar.

FYI- Columbus did not discover the USA, He landed in the West Indies, which like the rest of the Americas were already occupied. Not being the "shapest knife in the drawer, he thought he was in India, hence the misnomer " Indians" for the indigenous peoples.

Theres always been people hear.They just wasn`t very civilised ,untill we kept being invaded .Thats why English is mixed up with so many different languages every time we were invaded we all had to learn the new one There are no pure bred English people but we have got a lot of history.So i suppose it`s all to the good

it became populated during/after the last Ice Age (the Pleistocene period) because alot of land was connected by ice sheets (parts of the ocean were frozen) so Britain was connected to Europe, so humans were able to walk across.
