I was having an intellectual discussion the other day in the park with this man my husband and I know from a previous encounter. He is basically a Christian who researches a lot about other religions and so we were having a form of debate I suppose you could say. My friend's husband saw this and later started yelling at her about how awful her friend (me) is that I was talking to a man other than my husband and that this is was just awful. OK, as a Westerner this totally infuriated me because I know if I were in his country I would respect the culture there as much as possible. But he was being a real jerk and going by his cultural views here. As a Muslim I know that according to my religion I did absolutely nothing wrong. And that is all that matters to me. I could care less what others think of me. My own husband was mad simply because another Muslim brother saw me like this and was so afraid I would tarnish our reputation! I don't live for others! I live for myself!

I don't think that this is necessarily a Middle Eastern thing. Talking to another man is heavily looked down upon in a lot of the mid-east, but it's also not a very popular thing to do in Hispanic cultures. Then in general, men seem to be a lot more jealous of their women talking with other men.

But good for you for not perpetuating a way of life that doesn't work in modern times! You didn't do anything wrong.

the international become an identical after 9-11, terrorist were attacking American in the previous that. basically the U. S. politics replaced, and overseas regulations. u . s . of america is now being your with us or adverse to us mentality which is going to get them in very a lot trouble which it already has. All 3 go hand in hand and terrorism/faith/authorities is all interior an identical. faith become created to regulate the human beings for a authorities, terrorism become created to strike worry into warring factions to cause them to positioned up. as long as you've a authorities think ofyou've got both faith and terrorism. anytime the international supplies up and evolves out of a governmental society to a utopia the position human beings shelter them selves than you'll continuously have what comes alongside with governments it really is faith/terrorism.
