Just make sure you rince them good soap residue left on the dishes will give you the caa caa's. The hotter the rince water the less waterspots you'll get when air drying and the faster they will dry

If dishes are left to dry on their own, you are likely to get water stains remaining on their surfaces. I think that is the main reason for drying them by hand after they have been washed.

I was in the restaurant business. Board of health insists on air drying instead of towel drying to prevent cross contamination. Air dry.

Don't worry,it just means you may have spots on them,however if you rinse them in very hot water and let them air dry then you wont have spots and you get out of hand drying them.

no - i leave them to dry too!! but i do have a dishwasher also!! i think you're suppose to dry them so they dont get streaks on them - yet the place that harbours the most germs in a kitchen is a t-towel - so basically you are spreading germs by drying your dishes!!!

The only time they don't air dry is when there are too many, like after holiday meals.

according to martha...it is much safer to airdry your dishes...your dishtowel can simple spread germs...so says Martha...and you know this is a good thing....
