There use to be worm virus going around that made computers shut off like every 15 minute or so. If it show window with warning symbol and do countdown before shutting off like every 10 or 15 minute it could be the virus.

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is CCleaner, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.
CCleaner is also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://bit.ly/1mQZhtQ

Could be any number of things, make sure your cooling ports and fans are clean, make aure you arent overloading your ram by running too much software at once, if you have added new hardware to your PC the power supply may not be producing enuff wattage now and you might need a bigger supply, it could also be a virus!

I agree - it sounds like a virus. The Sassor Worm did something very similar to that. Does anything come up on screen before it shuts down? Anyway - do a virus check and backup any important files.
You can get a free Virus Check Program from http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 and download the free version.

Yes u r right. But some times it also works. U have said that u have heard abnormal humming sound. This happens when the RAM is not properly inserted into the slot. First ensure that the ram is properly inserted into the slot. Otherwise take the ram and check in another motherboard. Sometimes some motherboard doesn't support some RAM's.

-take out the RAM chip and reinsert it after blowing off dust from its slot.
-if the hardware parts are all ok then run system file checker

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
