No. They cannot. A bomoh is simply a shaman or medicine man, who diagnoses illnesses or heals the sick or acts as a counsellor. They also either summon spirits to help them or the spirit chooses them when healing needs to take place. The bomoh does not actually perform the healing, the spirits working through him do. They cannot transfer any special abilities, although they might be able to ask the spirits to help you in your time of need. It IS believed, however, that a bomoh will transfer their knowledge to another upon death, which is known as "sharing ability", although it's actually sharing knowledge since everyone is born with abilities.
