yes, i work third shift so that is a daily routine for me. i dont go to bed until noon or so, and then i get up around 7 or 8 and get ready for work. its completely normal...8 hours is 8 hours. as long as it is a routine schedule.

actually stefiki is wrong, your body functions on a cycle known as a circadian rythym. it knows when it is supposed to be awake and when to sleep. i work alternating 12 hour shifts and believ me even though you may condition yourself to deal with the lifestyle your body does not respond the same as if you have a normal wake sleep period. humans are not meant to be up all night. our brains takes it cues from enviromental factors. and even certain bodily functions such as urine out put and digestion are more active during daytime than they are at night. so even though you get 8 hours of sleep youy are still messing around with your bodies natural rythyms.
