If you want more of a rock sound, go with the marshall. If you want a more blues sound and classic rock sound go with the fender. I just got a nice fender 1960 players strat with a fender hot rod deluxe and the combination is outstanding for blues. I'm in love with the sound.

Marshall or Crate
one would have to try both and decide for themselves
because with every individual each of these will have
some slight twists in the tweak that will either do it or not
for THAT person !!!

And-- with the choices given---no comparison here Fender without a doubt---none better !!!

I'd have to say Marshall for it's good sound quality and most of them have built in overdrive (distortion) and built in effects, so, there you go.

Line 6 is also really good if you're into metal. I just love using a Line 6 Spider II when I'm playing Enter the Sandman... lol It makes me feel like James or Kirk...

Hope my answer helps...

Marshall amps....they make amps that are very small..i think 8 inch x 6 or 10 inch...very good, and the big ones are even better!
