This is quite a loaded question! The best way to make a project look as though you put hard work into it is to actually put hard work into it. Do thorough research, attack the problem from different angles, try to think of all possible problems and solutions. (Of course, depending on your project, this could become quite a daunting task, so you will want to be selective in what you finally present.)
If you are looking for an attractive presentation (graphical design), the answer completely depends on your medium. If you are writing a paper, type everything on a computer, insert graphics on the computer (no cutting and pasting on paper), fully justify your paragraphs, etc. If you are giving a poster presentation, use a selection of complimentary colors but not too many and don't change the colors too often; this is distracting for the viewer. If you are giving an oral presentation, feel free to use a simple template in the presentation software of your choice (PowerPoint, Keynote, etc) and have a clear plan for the organization of the slides.

1.write your project's name and your name neatly and nicely on the cover.
2.write the acknowledgement,contents,introduction of the topic,chapters and than conclusion in the order preferably in your own hand writing.
3.write the projects in different coloured papers.
4.collect as many coloured pictures on the relevent topic and paste them accordingly.
5.you can also make the cover attractive by hand drawing or by pasting the cuttings of the pics based on the topic.
