my personel opinion is the 90s for two main reasons and los of other little reasons.

firstly because i was actually alive to live in the 90s the 80s were probably good but thats my opinion after watching countless episodes of foxs "that 80s show"

second reason: because the 90s was a decade of innocents, i mean yes there were wars and murderers and criminals and everything, but we didnt have to worry as much about the little insignificant things that we worry about these days, likehaving your bank details stolen from the internet and losing all your money, or being run over by a guy in one of those cool new motorized scooters.

and the fashions, wow, with the 80s fashion was everything (i assume) and with the 90s, everyone wore whatever and no one cared, seriously just look back to all the t.v shows, and the news anchors and what not.

most importantly, the 90s was a decade of discoveries, and technical advances, more info on how to cure diseases, better education strategies, the government becoming wiser (and then stupider but then wising up again) about what to do with money and their power.
the biggest advance of the 90s was probably the internet.

thats just the opinion of a 15 year old girl though.

I think the 90's was the best decade because there is better technology than the 80's and 70's.

I think maybe the late 70's - early 80's were the best. Although all three decades were great! I'm not so sure about late 90's+ though, people seem to be changing for the worse. Alot of the music sucks, scary movies are more creepy than scary, the video games are cool though. But, does anyone still play their Nintendo (the first one!)? I do, they can't improve on the original Tetris!

70's with out a doubt . Norman Lear changed everything with all in the family . Bigotry was brought to the nation via TV . Both white and black bigotry . Abortion was on Maude , Rape , Husband and wife sleeping in the same bed , never heard of in the 50 and 60 . Saturday Night Live didn't hold back either , it was no ed Sullivan . people were allowed to talk about anything they wanted without the FCC saying no , no, and taking them off TV (Smothers Brothers . Okay ,,,the answer is 70's no contest !

Definitely the 70's, too bad we did not know it then......t.v. shows were excellent, or extremely corny fun.....the music scene was so alive, with people trying new things (remember Gino Vanelli?) kids could still play outside and not be afraid. AIDS was not an epidemic yet, but that was very soon to change... I know everybody thinks the decade they love the most is the best, but I really think the 70's was special, because we as people were really kinder to each other then.

Definately the 70's - now I've hit 40 they've become 'the good old days'. What do I remember? Hot summers out on my bike wearing denim dungerees with different coloured flares. Watching The Two Ronnies at Christmas listening to my grandparents howling with laughter. Good mix of music. Life seemed so much simpler and people took responsibility for their behaviour. We seemed content with less. Even the power cuts have become a nostalgic memory! And yes, most importantly my grandparents were still alive.
