Do you find yourself giving out advice to others easily however find it hard to give yourself advice?

of course. with oneself ...judgement is clouded with emotion and experience. with giving advice to a random question with no real background information or knowing the people intimately, it's very easy to advise.

Sometimes...the reason I can give advice so easily on some subjects because I've experienced the same or close to the problem!! And, through my trials and tribulations....I tell my stories to others hoping it will help them out!!!

All the time...but what pisses me off is that I give poeple advice when they ask for it n then when the time comes they don't use it. But back to ur original question....that always happens with break-up senarios....my friend has been in an unhappy relationship for yrs...I tell her to get out...n she didn't...but me I wanna try to get out sometimes n I don't have the guts to do it. Its ummm...what do they call it...A Catch 22.

yeah I get that a lot, It's normal, it's different when you are going through a problem yourself (with all the frusteration and confusion) to come up with advice, usually what works for me is that I write it down and come up with a solution, or else if I'm really stuck I turn to family and friends :)

hell yea i do it all the time. im the person my friends come to for advice n im really eay to talk to but wen it comes to listenin to myself. yea it all goes out the door. u r the worst critic to urself. u find reasons on why ur own advice wont work, and u arent selfish, so u dont put as much energy into tryin to take ur own advice. it sux, coz u kno if some one else had said it to u, u might actually listen n take that piece to advice. but coz its urself. its like nothing. like we dont care. n we got to stop doin it. we got to start lookin out for our selves n listenin to our selves.

oh yeah, because your heart just disagrees for some reason. i also always need a better explanation for my self. that's one thing i'll never get, but your not alone.
