Evie, first stop comparing yourself to everyone else! I did not show or feel movement until well into my forth month, then wham, that little bugger started gaining weight and rockin and rollin all hours of the day and night! Just keep yourself healthy, eat right, do not do alcohol or smoke, do not do drugs. You can listen to soothing music, you can talk to your baby and calm him and yourself down. Rub your tummy with Mothers Helper, cream and listen to whatever music calms you, it will be interesting to see how your little one responds! Also, share your fears with your doctor, they know first hand if anything is going on.
come this spring, summer you will have a wee one to just take all your lovings up!
I remember my first pregnancy, that was almost 40 years ago and I can remember it like yesterday. It was glorious! For your labor and delivery, do not listen to stupid people that try and tell you "omg, i was in labor for 50 darn hours", again, in labor the key is calm, relaxation, soothing atmosphere, if there are people that are going to cloud your atmoshere with too much anxiety, do not let them in the labor or delivery room....this is your time and your little precious baby, and the daddy too!
God bless you and your little family!

lol... I sort of know how you feel here. I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 20 weeks along. I was still having my period like normal, because I was on birth control and still taking my pills. I didn't have any morning sickness, and at this point had only gained about 6 pounds. I didn't start showing until sometime after christmas... it was like, one day I woke up and wham... there was this huge belly.. lol. I remember when I went back to school from break January 15th everyone was starting to notice I was showing and my baby was due March 11th. So don't be surprised if you don't show right away... also don't worry so much about not feeling the baby... its possible you're worrying is whats causing you to not feel it. Its probably still moving but just while you're busy with everyday things and you don't feel it. I used to sit in a warm bath and stay really still and just relax and after awhile the baby will move around a lot... I loved it!!

I am 33 weeks pregnant with my first, I'm also 5'4 and didn't really start to show until after 7 months. Usually you show later with your first, some women will hardly show at all. Even now at 33 weeks, I don't have the huge belly and I'm showing very low. I pop out a bit and its noticeable, but a lot of people have thought I was in 2nd trimester, not 3rd. Its normal not to feel kicking every day. The baby may be kicking and you might busy throughout the day to notice. And also, babies have their on and off days. Some days they will kick more than others. At 19 weeks you are probably still feeling flutters so it may be harder to distinguish them unless you laying down. Its normal to be nervous with your first....trust me I have been nervous throughout this whole pregnancy. You're a mom now and its natural!!!

You should be glad you aren't showing yet. You might not get stretch marks. As for the movement, babies have up days and down days just like us. Make sure you take some time in the evenings before you go to bed; have a glass of juice or milk and lay on your stomach. This might get your baby going. And don't worry, you aren't supposed to feel the baby all the time. Only some of the movements he/she is making now are strong enough for you to feel. Some women don't even feel the baby move this early! You are well within the norm.

I'm about 20 weeks along right now (w/ my first), and I just "popped" a few days before Christmas...and it literally happened over night. I was worried also, b/c I was coming up on 19 weeks and wasn't showing, but I'm sure you're fine. Everyone is different! I can feel my baby kicking sometimes, but some days its really active and some days it doesn't move at all. You may just be too busy to notice.

Don't worry about being little. You should be thankful. I just want to tell you to listen to what the Dr. says and what your motherly instincts tell you. Please don't lay on your stomach like one poster suggested. I don't know what that will do? It isn't recommended to lay on your stomach. It can hurt the baby not to mention that it could be painful for you. I have always showed very early. I am 24 weeks and I have already gained 30lbs. I always get big and then loose it.Your felt your baby very early on. Usually moms to be don't start to feel quickening until they are about 19 weeks. I felt little bubbles earlier around 17 weeks and now I am getting walloped. lol! Talk to your Dr. and you'll hear the heartbeat and feel more comforted . Good luck to you and enjoy your pregnancy.

You are not alone, I am a born worrier and my first pregnancy I was a wreck. Your bump will suddenly appear. The morning of my 20 week scan I woke up and, oh my god....where did that come from. It was great, put on my maternity top I had been dying to wear and my partner spent the whole day mesmerised by the fact I was 'really' pregnant. It will just appear one morning and then stick it out with pride.

I'm pregnant with my third and no one really noticed until my 21st week. I was closer to the third trimester when people started saying, "Hey! You're pregnant!" So, it is not at all unusual that you're not showing much. Also, you will fetal movement but you won't feel it daily until much later. Well, that is true for most women but all women and all pregnancies are different. It is important to remember that.
I understand your worries. I'm on my third pregnancy and I still get anxiety and I still worry about things. It is normal. But try to relax and enjoy the experience.
Congrats!
