Are all the children genetically like siblings?

No. The only way they would be like siblings would be if you and your identical twin married identical twins.
Since siblings get a random half of their genes from their mom and half from their dad, you can think about siblings having an average of 50% similar genes to each other. Therefore, you and your brother have 50% similar genes. However, your children will only have about 50% of your genes which were 50% different from your brother's genes. So your children and your brother have about 25% similar genes.
Confusing. Hope that makes sense.

They would be first cousins, however, there is likely to be more similarity in the genetics part. It wouldn't be the same as siblings since brothers/sisters have different sets of genes that don't match exactly.

Each child gets different gene sequences from the same parent. Since the parents each have different sequences, the children from each family would be more likely to have different. combinations.

Unusually close cousins, genetically speaking.

They would have different mitochondrial DNA and different non recombinant Y DNA, and the different genes that you and your brother inherited from your parents but don't have in common with each other.

Now if a pair of identical twins married a pair of identical twins and had kids, they would be like siblings.

Firstly, all of the people who keep saying "no they're first cousins!" are idiots. Obviously, that wasn't your question.

Now, to answer your question, they are not genetically as close as siblings because each set of parents has unique genetic traits that can be passed onto their children. However, because both sets of parents have the same genetic background the kids are closer genetically than regular first cousins. So the answer to your question is, "sort of but not really." It's more complex than that.

After 35 your threat for borth defects will improve dramatically, so in case you compromise with having yet another toddler, do not wait. there is not something that you do along with your son now that has to regulate because of a toddler. Babys are resilient and they adapt for your position. you do not replace your position to evolve to them. My boys are 5 years aside, or perhaps as it truly is way nearer in age than yours, my youngest nevertheless had to bypass alongside with the failings I already had prevalent with my oldest. i imagine you've spent a good number of years merely you and your son and also you experience responsible as in case you'd be replacing him. it truly is not achievable. Your relationship with each baby is unique and particular for most diverse causes. perhaps along with your oldest its particular because he;s beenmore than your son. you've been by troublesome cases and make it lower back to strong ones. Your crutch, skill and pal. No rationalization for that to be altered. Now you're in a happier relationship and thinking making a sparkling existence that represents the affection both of you percentage. which will be a diverse relationship. too. This must be something you thoroughly favor to do and in no way something you experience obligated to do. if you're actually not o.ok. with it. do not do it. starting up over at 39 even as your baby is merely about grown, will be troublesome. For you emotionally, bodily, and probably even on your relationship. persist along with your heart. Your first instinct is often good.

No. They do not share a parent. That makes them 1st cousins. Note, that kind of thing going on over generations though will limit the gene pool, and you will probably see recessive traits popping up in the 4th or 5th generation.
