1. blonde hair is recessive. both parents carry the recessive allele, the blonde child (which would happen 1/4th of the time) received both of them.

2. PP - homozygous for the purple allele

3. Genetic counseling would help you determine if you would pass the recessive allele to your children. For example, if you were a carrier for a sex-linked gene and were female, then 50% of your sons would exhibit the disorder, and 50% of your daughters would be carriers.
If the disorder was not sex-linked, then genetic counseling would want the medical history of your spouse to see if he/she could also carrier the recessive allele. Then the genetic counselor would consult with you both on the probability of your child having the disease or being a carrier.

1. Tells you that blonde hair is recessive, Eg if blonde is b and brown is B, her parents must both be Bb and she must be bb.
