I am planning to spend an extended vacation to canada and whilst there i would like to know if i could undertake driver training as i am from uk and planning to emmigrate at some time in future and i figured that it would be helpfull to get licenced to drive both cars and buses as that is my feild of employment back home.

the best place to learn is young drivers but i dont really think you need to take lessons the rules are the same except...don't forget to drive on the RIGHT side.

Check with the department of motor vehicles In the province that you will be visiting. I find it unlikely that you would be allowed to take any driving courses as you are licensed for the UK and not Canada. Another factor is that you are not a permanent residentany driving school will take your money, and put you in any course. and you can drive here with your uk licence, just not for ever. but for your bus licence, it depends if your driving school bus with children, or a coach or city bus. if school bus, you will need your B licence, which is a seperate course of there own. if its coach, or city bus, then you will need C licence, witch you can get through any truck driving school. good luck.

use the vacation to do the research , i would hold off on training until i had an address here, don't forget to drive on the right
