No matter what name you give your child, others will find some way to make a joke of it. I think one that he might get is hill-billy.
Must admit it's nice to see parents putting thought into naming their child. So many just don't do that today.

Good for you, for being so mindful in choosing a name for your baby. I do prefer Will over Jack, but Will Hillcrest does not sound that great together since Will and Hill rhyme. If you really want to use it, it would still be okay. It doesn't sounds terribly noticeable unless you point it out. Personally, I would go with Jack since Jack Hillcrest has great name flow. Since Jack is so popular nowadays, people will not associate the nursery rhyme to it! LOL... To get from Jack..to Jack & Jill.. to hill.. takes a lot of thinking on someone else's part, so definately don't worry about that :)

William Hillcrest is perfect nothing wrong with it. Ya maybe, because of your surname Hill, if u name Jack then he may get teased like, Jack and Jill. Willy or Will that's alright its not really teasing, if anyone wants to tease they can find any method to do so. But in my opinion Willam Hilcrest is fine. Go ahead with the name.

I think it sounds Nice William Hillcrest, As a bub he's be Billy or Will, and as an adult it sounds distinguished. Either way kids will find a way to pick on a name. Jack is nice and Jack hillcrest doesn't seem as easy to pick on if your very concerned I like the other parents post about Jackon. also is nice to See thought put into names. Congrats and Good Luck

William Hillcrest sounds very distinguished, but if it ever gets shortened to Bill or Will, it doesn't sound very good at all, sorry.
If you like the name Jack, but prefer the more distinguished side of things, how about Jackson instead?
Jackson Hillcrest sounds great! Very distinguished and the shorter version of Jack still sounds good as well.
Hope that helps,
Mom to 5 with another on the way

I like both options. They are nice, normal names, instead of these crazy names kids get saddled with these days. Yeah, there was a Cappuchino (a male) at the high school where I teach. Wil is a nice nickname, too. Both William and Jack are not popular anymore, so he won't be one of 3 or 4 in the class. I've had 5 girls named Brittany in one class, and next semester I have 2 Anthonys in every class and one class with 4 Anthonys.
Why no middle name?

My personal opinion is that children are incredibly creative and inventive. Regardless of your child's given name, undoubtedly it would be transformed.
I think William Hillcrest is a strong name. As someone pointed out, William is not necessarily a popular choice in our age of Jayden's, Gage's and Hucka's. My name is Jenifer and because of the time I was born, there was at least 5 Jennifer's in every class of mine until I went to college.
I also really like Jack Hillcrest, and I think both choices are equally strong.
Congratulations and good luck choosing. I think you've both done a service to your child by giving serious consideration into their future playground traumas.

LOL! It's nice you've thought of these things - thanks for the laugh.
I think Will Hillcrest sounds lovely. I don't think kids would tease him for it - or at least not in a mean way. And I definitely don't think they'd tease him about Jack and Jill - well, maybe if you named a daughter Jill :)
You could call him Liam, if you're really set on William. But I wouldn't worry about the rhymes.

I think William (Wil) Hillcrest sounds very nice and strong.
No matter what name you choose your child will probably get teased over something or another. I wouldn't stress out about it...the name you love is the name you should use or you'll regret it forever.
Good luck!!

I absolutley love the name Jack and dont think others will think of Jack and Jill. I thought of it for one of my boys. As For William, I think that sounds great with Hillcrest. You could also nickname him Liam. I think Liam is cute , and then no one will call him Willy hilly.

Takoda Hillcrest.
Brady Hillcrest
, no name is too common if decorated with a fancy name! My one daughter is
Allissabeth Grace. Pronounced Elizabeth. She died but 8 babies have been named after that spelling of Allissabeth. Be U-neek!
I love your originality idea. All my kids have wonderful names that they are VERY proud of!
My daughters daddy was in the long line name of BRADY
The last two letters of MY name end in I I (two I's)
So since we wanted to keep the name BRADY, she was the 7th and we werent gonna have a boy, we named her BRADII'
Since that time, Peepz have LOVED it so much we have 5 friends with that name. Little Girl Bradii'
good Luck!
My boys name is Takoda. That means the same as Dakota, but Indian. FRIEND OF ALL!~ it can be both boy OR girl. My lil boy is 8 and LOVES his name (Takoda James, Ko-J we call him)
