I've played in some plays and my teacher says that i have talent but i haven't really taken acting classes because i'm young.I'm 16.I'm also quite shy but is there a way to deal with that? How can i build some confidence so that i won't be uncomfortable when acting?

I'm in almost exactly the same predicament. People tell me it’s pointless to dream about living the glamour life and contributing to the great blockbusters of today, but just keep holding on to these dreams and they push me further. I’ve been told that you can’t succeed without trying so don’t be afraid to audition because the worst they can do is say no, and the best thing that could happen is what is in your dreams.
Advice on acting classes...They are very hard work, but they look great on any theatere resume! They can also be super fun so give it a go.
And I wasn’t joking when I said it was the same predicament. I’m also very shy, however once I get on stage it’s a whole new game. If this is the same way for you, my advice to becoming less shy in normal everyday situations is to think about what you are doing from a thespian’s point of view. Others may think you’re crazy at times, but you make more friends the more outgoing you are.
Now if only I could take my own advice on that…:)

Good luck, and we’ll hopefully see each other in Hollywood someday!

You should go for an audition. Do accept negative feedback as it is way to improve yourself to be an actress in Hollywood.

For a stepping stone, you should perform in front of Simon Cowell as he always give an honest answer. Please participate this year American Idol. I would love to hear you singing. Either you pass or fail, you will know if you are a qualified Hollywood actress. Good luck.

You will need to enrol at a Drama Academy in London. They will teach you to act, sing and dance. It will be hard work and will cost money but if you have talent it's worth doing. Wishing you luck - go for it!
