If a woman is pregnant then yes a person should give up their seat for her, but I don't think women have a right to demand that men give up their seats for women just because they're women. I thought Rosa Parks put an end to that.

good point! no i don't think we woman have a right i think it just date's back to the olden days were men used to give there seat up for women as a sign of politness and as a sign that they were gentlemen, but who cares im a lady and if i think sum one on the bus needs the seat more than me i gladley give mine up 2 stand anyways that's the modern woman who does not mind standing on the bus, it can be quite amusing when the bus goes round corners lol

I young lady gave up her seat for me recently on a bus! I was totally shocked, but was having a bit of a problem balancing and holding onto the rail. I thanked her and it made my day that a lady would be kind for a change to an old man.

A HUMAN guideline might be to give up your seat if you are more fit than the person standing.

I think it depends on the age of the woman,if it was a little old dear then i would let her have it or a old man.
I've never heard of a man giving up his seat to a woman who demands it,she wants to try it on a London bus, she'd get thrown off!

wake up mate theres no such thing as equality women want and have it there own way.most cant even work out the diference between being a gentlemen, using manners and being courteous and nice as opposed to sexism or someone who just wants to get into thier pants.and men well we cant work out what the hell they want, they've created a state of confusion for most of us.bottom line
whatever you do,no matter which way you go as a man you'll always get it wrong.

I cant say I have ever heard of demanding anyone to give up a seat from a man on a bus. But Im used to bieng treated like a lady so Im sure thats why I would never be on a bus. Especially if a man would be that disrespectful.

in the old days, men would voluntarily give their seat to a lady out of politeness and chivilry and it became a custom.

unfortunately thanks to radical feminism, today's women are so self centered that they now think they're ENTITLED to a man's seat and if he doesn't give it up for her, he's a chauvanist.
