The names are fine. This is your baby and you should name the baby whatever you please. I like both names. You won't be calling them by their middle names anyway unless they get into something they shouldn't LOL IE. "Jaylon Kendall Smith! Get out of that tree right now!"
Best wishes on your new arrival! Congratulations!

Do the middle names have to stay in the middle?
Cadence Josephine.....Josephine Cadence
For me it depends on how it goes with the last name.
I'd never heard the name Jaylon..heard Jayson.
I think it is important to name a child something that is totally
theirs, if you are also going to give them a family name.

I don't really have a feel for Jaylon. Maybe Jayden, Jaysen, Jaylen,
Jaydon, or Jayson. Kendall is a great middle name.
Cadence Josephine is so adorable.
Cadence means Rhythm and Josephine means God will increase.
So maybe you will have a great dancer coming!
Also Cady Jo is an adorable nickname.
Good Luck!

I like Cadence but not Jaylon. Consider Jackson or Jason or Jordan or Justin perhaps. Jaylon sounds very feminine to me.

Jaylon is OK. Not my favorite but also not my kid.
I hate Cadence. Per Merriam Webster dictionary it means:
1 a : a rhythmic sequence or flow of sounds in language b : the beat, time, or measure of rhythmical motion or activity
2 a : a falling inflection of the voice b : a concluding and usually falling strain; specifically : a musical chord sequence moving to a harmonic close or point of rest and giving the sense of harmonic completion
3 : the modulated and rhythmic recurrence of a sound especially in nature
But once again, not my kid. I do like the name Kaylin. It has the same flow but it doesn't mean something strange for a name. Be careful that the meaning of the name doesn't overshadow the name itself. If you are in doubt look it up in a dictionary or a baby name book.

I think they are great names. But have you ever considered Jayla for a girl, instead of Jaylon for a boy? I have heard Cadence as a boy's name also. So, if you are really partial to that name it could be fitting for a male also.

My advice is to make a name sound like the gender of it's owner. Also, don't make the spelling difficult for the child, teacher, or future customer service situations. There are other ways of being unique, make the spelling simple for everyone's sake.
It's also best to call your child by their first name. Forms want the first name and ignore the middle name. This makes the person constantly explain, this is my first name, but I go by my middle name.
