Both the Sun and the Earth are almost perfect spheres; both bulge very
slightly at their equators. The Sun's equatorial diameter is 1,391,400 km; the
Earth's equatorial diameter is 12,756 km. So the Sun's diameter is about 109
times that of the Earth. If by "size" you mean volume, then the
Sun occupies about (109)^3, or over 1,295,00 times the volume of the
Earth. If you want to compare them by mass, the Sun has a mass of
1.99*10^30 kg, and the Earth's mass is 5.98*10^24 kg, so the Sun is about
332,776 times as massive as the Earth. This is different from the ratio of their
volumes because the Earth has a larger average density than the Sun.

How old are you? Have you ever taken a science class in school? Why would you ask such a question? Does the earth look bigger than the sun? Haven't you ever seen pictures or read anything about it? And what do you mean "why"?

No its the other way around girl. The sun is bigger. But there are more stars which are bigger and brighter than the sun, but they are so far that we cant see them, like the sun other planets not from our galaxy, but other galaxies revolve around them. The sun is also a star actually.

No. The view of it being very small is because it is very far away. As light is the fastest thing known, it still takes 8 minutes for light from the sun to get to earth.

the earth is well smaller than 10 times smaller than the sun. The mass of the sun is 333,000 times larger than the Earth. The earth is 7,900 miles in diameter, while the sun is 862,400 miles in diameter.

the sun is 109 times the earth's diameter (and 330,000 times more massive)
as for "why?"- im not sure i understand the question, but if the earth were bigger than the sun (in mass) our solar system would have a different center- earth
p.s. spinx- it is not "impossible" to know

you have to look at the earth and the sun at the same time while the both are the same distance away from you to know that answer so its impossible to know
unless you go out of this galaxy and watch from there
