Im not sure if its just an Old Wives Tale... but I believe its true.
But in the same sense its still a Chance not that it set in stone that you will get PG with twins.

I'm in the same situation!but being the eldest grandchild may have not ground at all... i'm the eldest, too, but my cousin, or my younger sister are both as much in the running as i am. twins or any multiple births are passed on by both sides (mum and dad), but only affect the female baby when they want to have children. ie/ if you were a single birth and your partner was a twin... your daughter would have more of a chance of having twins than you when she got pregnant... so good luck!

Fraternal twins are heridtary and come form the female side of the gene pool. I have Identical twin Boys, there mother's Mother (ex motherinlaw) was a twin. So ons o forth. It does mean u have a greater chance, but nothings definate.

The number of children come from the female side, the sex of the children come fromt he male side.

if your grandmother had no identical twins, and she is your mums mum, then yes there is a very high chance you too will have the gene!!

I have the gene too!!! It is only passed on from the female side!

fraternal means from the fathers side so it was your granfather that made the twins ,not your grandmother.
