Having that piece of paper at the end of your university degree will open lots more doors then if you don't have a degree, so it really is worth persevering. Don't give up!
Have you thought about changing courses, or universities? Talk to as many people as possible and get lots of advice, then figure out what you want to do. There's lots of options open to you, but honestly, it really is so worth having that degree certificate at the end of the day. Have you considered Open University?
All the best, I hope you happiness in whatever decision you make :-)

Is there a specific reason why you are not enjoying it? For example, have you considered changing course, accommodation, location of university? Any or all of these changes should be possible and may help you enjoy it more. Alternatively, you could look for a job which offers training so that you could gain qualifications and experience while working. Another possibility is to work full time for a year or two, then return to uni if and when you feel ready - your current uni might hold your place for you. Try speaking to the student counsellor about your options.

Take no notice of chillipop! Life is too short to waste it on doing nothing about bettering your life and improving your chances of getting a good job.
University can be hard. You are training for a degree. It is not to be taken lightly. Anything worthwhile doesn't come easy. That is why you feel a sense of achievement when you do work at something and see it through.
I spent three years at university and felt like quitting in the first year, but my lecturers and friends spurred me on to keep going. I left with a Bachelor Of Science with honours degree, and now the world is my oyster. Now I can pick and choose which job I want, I earn considerably more than my friends and family, and my graduation ceremony was something that I will never forget.
It is human nature to run from things that we do not understand or find too hard to cope with. Hang in there if this is what you want. Don't leave just because it is hard, this is why employers tend to employ graduates and pro graduates - because of the hard work and effort that goes into doing a degree. It shows to them that you are intelligent, that you don't just quit when the going gets tough and that you have staying power.
If you need help or advice, email me. I will try and help you all I can.
All the best :o) x

Hello there, I am 16 years old and I have been through a lotta bull crap too. Theres been times where I actually thought suicidal but never really did it. Because I had my family and friends. But you say you have no friends or family? Theres gotta be someone you care for that has not passed sorry bout your grandfather btw. =(. You also say you broke up with your boyfriend? Well theres no need to thing suicidal. Because theres a good chance you will get back together with your boyfriend. I dont see why not because according to your display picture you are a pretty girl :). You getting advice from a 16 year old and not some certified therapist but I prolly can help you more because kids now days really go through it. And you say you have been praying to god? God will help! Ive had anxiety and everything for a longgggg time. I got saved and started serving the lord, and now I am at peace. He helps me everyday. I have not really had no anxiety attacks or nothing since then. Remember though if you are asking god for help, he may not be answering you because you are not saved. God will not listen to any prayers from a sinner. Thats why god wouldnt listen to any of my prayers. But once i got saved, he helped me a lot. Times like this , god is the one to turn to. Pray to god and ask for friends. You will get friends, got will help you. I promise. As long as you believe and try your best to serve him. :). Don't worry before I got saved I cussed, drunk, smoked pot, and done everthing else. I would think suicidle thoughts very often. But now I am at peace. You can also meet people, go around and talk to them and be sociable. I hope I helped. Dont do anything crazy please.

It depends how long you've been there.
If you're in your 2nd/third year I'd stick it out.
If you're in your first, depends why you arent enjoying it. is it the people/homesick/work too hard etc. just depends on why. Are you doing the degree because you want to work in that field?
As for other options you could do another course.
Or work full time- most likely option
Or maybe you could get an apprenticeship

Enjoyment must not be the only objective, be serious about your targets. It seems always hard and needs more effort to lift yourself up, but we have to.
