can someone explain to me how i can set up my dsl ethernet adapter to run constantly through my dial-up connection with att,now im using the action-tech 56k modem,but i rather use my ethernet modem for faster browsing,and faster downloads,if really possible.is this possible,and how do i set up the ethernet adapter,to stop the dsl light from blinking that it might connect to the internet

Do you have an intelligent question? What part of 56k dont you understand? Your question makes about as much sense as teats on a boar! You cant connect your ethernet card to your dialup modem! Stop playin Mr. PC tech! What the flyin bejeesus do you even have a dialup account if you have DSL in the first place?

I'm not sure I am following your question. A dial up 56K connection and a DSL connection are two entirely different things. The plans are different too. Do you have a dial up account with AT&T or a DSL account? The telephone line connects into the DSL modem and then either an ethernet CAT5 cable attaches your DSL modem to the ethernet card (NIC) on your computer or a USB connection....as opposed to the Phone line going directly from your phone jack to the 56K modem (internal) or (external)...
So I'm confused from your description.

Assuming that you have a high-speed modem with highspeed service running to it,and an ethernet port on your computer- you take an ethernet (RJ45) patch cable. Connect it fromthe modem to you PC. It should configure automatically.If you have a firewall turn it off before you connect then turn it back on after or allow Internet Explorer.
