Can anybody explain in simple words how to start hacking my iPod?

And also, I read somewhere that you lose all of your data...does that mean I'll lose my entire music library? That would absolutely kill me.

Ok what do you mean hacking? If you mean making it so that you can drag and drop files to the IPOD hardrive, i may be able to help you...
