Who says they didn't? After all men were the scribes so is it not possible they simply excluded reference to women?

Thus John may have been Johanna & Gabriel - Gabriella & Peter - Peta.

Interesting thought huh, after all religion is another way men control women!

First of all, most of the Bible writers were men. And when a man or a woman wrote something, it had to be important enough to be included in the Bible.

The bible accepts anyone who is 'holy' to declare gospel. As intercourse is (and was) sin, and any woman who has borne child wouldbe a sinner (as we are born of sin...hullo?) thus all women who have had kids would be 'unholy'. Also, at that time all women married early so by the time they came to their senses they already had kids-thus already 'unholy'.

First of all women were not allowed to learn how to read or write. Second of all in that time If a woman say Mary Magdalene was to write a Gospel the "church" would have destroyed it because women were considered "filthy sin-full creatures".

Okay God is not against women in fact there are females prophets in Jesus' time but you must remember that women in that part of the world where Jesus lived and at that time were not as in the USA, they had no rights, and were owned, IF Jesus had picked a female as His deciple it would have destroyed any attempt at reaching anyone. God must deal with us "as we are" and He does, find out more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless. bible questions www.bibleinfo.com
