im trying to remove mcaffee and install an anternate virus protection program, but i have to uninstall mcaffee before i can install the new program. anyways ive tried everything i can think of. theres only one step before the install is complete and this last file
(its called undefined)will not go away!

Download McAfee Uninstaller here - http://www.tucows.com/preview/195895

Install and run it.
It will remove McAfee.

Enjoy!

Note: It's a shareware but since you're uninstalling once, it will work. Then you can uninstall the uninstaller program via Add/Remove Programs.

Go to http://us.mcafee.com/ and search for some online help in the uninstallation process. If you still don't manage to get rid of that file, then shred it using a file shredder. Shredders come with anti-spyware software like AVG anti-spyware, Spyware Terminator and SpyBot.

run the following two menus of ccleaner
cleaner > Analyze > Run Cleaner
Issues > Scan For Issues > Fix Selected Issues

that is the best answer add/remove in control panel,then go start,run,browse,program files,delete the mc folder,also under program files ,check the common file folder,delete the mc folder and files after the add/remove finishes

McAfee sucks. it is a big name antivirus software that is the main target of hackers for finding a back door around. try getting smaller and more efficient sweepers. try downloading: spybot search and destroy winpooch hijackthis
