There's nothing wrong with Muslims. I think you're getting the wrong signals from some of your Christian/Catholic friends.

I think all of us are kinda down on terrorists , whether they're Muslim, Irish Catholics (IRA) or Baptists (KKK).

respect starts when you return it to others. in the christian religion they say do unto others as they would do unto you...(paraphrased). The problem here is social tolerance and understanding. Muslim extremists would like nothing better than for the Us to sit back and do nothing. Its been tried before with other religions and causes as far back as the Nazis in the forties. Kruschev, for example, in a famous speech said we will take over you without firing a shot. So the point here is these extremists are not the first.
People in your religion are giving it a bad name for what...."killing people indiscriminately", sorry but my votes with the responders. If you see all of the news and bad things happen around you caused by these extremists you tend to generalize, its human and very normal.
Weve also already tried it your way. Clinton tried to sidestep the issue of reaction by exploring his sexual interests when the us cole, the first wtc attack and the sudan capture of Bin Laden occurred. that didnt work either.
Bottom line here is Bush reacted. You and alot of other liberals dont like it and villlify him for it....GET OVER IT, IT HAPPENED AND FOR A GOOD REASON.
Bush had a real good reason for going to Iraq. Its called SELF PRESERVATION. Contrary to what you might want, the Us is not going to sit idly by while muslim extremists try and convert the world. Again, its been tried and didnt work with other religions and causes.
Respect starts at home. Muslims need to stop being the worlds bullies and live in a community where we make an effort to get along with one another. Im well aware not all are like that but, in your case, a chosen few ruin it for the rest of them and rather than whining about it, you might try to change perception.
Until you do, your obviously not part of the solution, you are no better, in fact, then Clinton, sitting idly by and doing nothing.
