5x - 7 = 7x - (3/2 -x)
5x - 7 = 7x - 3/2 + x
5x - 7 = 8x -3/2
5x - 7 + 3/2 = 8x
-7 + 3/2 = 8x - 5x
-7 + 3/2 = 3x
-5 1/2 = 3x
-11/2 = 3x
-11/2 * 1/3 = x
-11/6 = x

At least that's what I got from the problem you wrote down.

5x - 7 = 7x - (3/2 - x)

5x - 7 = 7x - 3/2 + x

2(5x) - 2(7) = 2(7x) - 2(3/3) + 2(x)

10x - 14 = 14x - 3 + 2x

10x - 14 = 16x - 3

10x - 14 - 10x = 16x - 3 - 10x

- 14 = 6x - 3

- 14 + 3 = 6x - 3 + 3

- 11 = 6x

- 11 / 6 = 6x / 6

- 11 / 6 = x

The answer is x = - 11/6

- - - - - - - -s-

5x-7 = 7x - [ 3/2-x]
RHS: 7x - [ 3-2x/2]
= 7x - 3-2x/ 2
= 14x-3+2x/2
= 16x -3/2
equate LHS AND RHS
5x-7 = 16x-3/2
10x- 14 = 16x - 3
10x- 16x = -3+ 14
-6x = 11
x = -11/6
hope i got the answer right
