well you can make your adult life easy or you can make it hard it all depends on you. Example: You graduate from high school with good grades and go to college and put your fullest potential in learning your career. You can make good money and be able to pay your bills possible vacations, happy marriage etc.
OR
Not paying attention in learning because to busy parting or drugs. Basically dropping out of school and not thinking about your future. can lead to unfulfilled dreams, unpaid bills, possible jail time, stress etc.
You should start thinking about all this Right NOW because you do have a Major adult responsibility.............Its deciding on what road you are going to take when you are finally on your own.
Your parents and teachers do know some what of what they are talking about so if i where you i would take notes and ask questions...Good Luck and God Bless.

It SUCKS being adult man...enjoy your youth and the freedom from responsibility. In fact never let go of the innocence and good heart that you may have as a youngin, the better and more ambitious a person you are now the better off you'll be in your future.
Being adult you get to enjoy freedom, doing what YOU want to do in life, and also the feeling of accomplishment and reward FOR having all these responsibilities and things you have to do, but that's only if you actually succeed.
You still have to deal with the fact that everything relies solely on YOU. Bills, taking care of yourself, your job, dealing with the cruelty of others, the miscommunication with people, and the fact that SINCE you're an adult, you have to present yourself and ACT like one....and people will judge you and show contempt for you if you act any different from the norm.
Then if you create a famil of your own, NOW you have even MORE responsibility to your children, your significant other, and then dealing with trying to make a successful marriage, tolerating his/her differences, her personality which is different from yours, and the fact that anything you say or do can effect her positively or NEGATIVELY.
Trust me man bein an adult and being on your own aint' what it's all cracked up to be....least for those who want stability in their life. Some have never grown up, and live like bums or worse, and then there are those who care about their life's standard, and work really hard to get to the top, and at times sacrifice their own enjoyment and social life for the sake of gain.
And then there are those who just want to have stability, like me, and maybe even work hard to benefit others, or just live a nice calm life with a secure home, a wonderful loving family, and everday find something good for society to give to.....
That's how i feel about it man. People will give you the fairytale story that it's all good everyone has a good time, all that...but then they don't tell you about this thing that's called REALITY, and that not everyone is gonna be your friend, and some will FAKE it just to ruin you, bullies n stuff in middle or elementary school and middle ain't nothing compared to people who want to bully you by ruining your life. High school is just a taste of what to expect in the future.

Yeah, you're laden with responsibilities, unless your parents are rich and they do everything for you, which isn't doing you any favors.
There are bills and relationships and jobs and all that stuff. You will become an actual decision maker, and pay taxes and DO taxes, get screwed by taxes, etc etc etc.
Then there are politics. You will (hopefully) become more socially aware and begin to form opinions of how you think the world should work (and get frustrated because it doesn't work that way).
The upside is, unless you are involved in a relationship with a possessive control freak, you have a lot of freedom to do what you want. Go where you want, stay out as late as you want.
Do yourself a favor...while you are still under the age of 18, WITHOUT getting a credit card first, learn all about how credit cards work, and how credit is built up. Then, when you come of age get yourself a credit card, but have an older adult help you out because most of them are ripoffs in the interest rates. But only use your credit card when it is an emergency!!!!!!!! And pay off the balance as soon as humanly possible. And whenever possible pay MORE than the minimum. This is how you build decent credit. These days, they aren't teaching about credit, and as soon as you turn 18 you start getting credit card offers, and kids get these credit cards, max them out and then have to file bankruptcy. I was too smart for this...however, now I am 30 and because I've never had a credit card, I cannot get one because I haven't developed sufficient credit for my age bracket. LAME!

Enjoy your (this) time to the fullest because you won't get your time back.
As an adult nothing changes, everybody's same, everything is same, but realizations make the MEANINGS CHANGE.
(1) One starts looking elders from a distance, one realizes difference between good and bad
(2) One realizes the power of money over the power of God
(3) One realizes that the people u were living with are actually not your own.
(4) Difficulties make you harder and less-sensitive
(5) Happiness becomes dearer
(6) Difference between Facts and Fiction become clear.

When you are an adult, you get to have loads of fun... but you need to take responsibility for all your actions..
You still have to follow rules... except that they would be made by the govt. and society rather than your parents...
I suggest you enjoy the present.... stop worrying about the future... you have to do that when u grow up anyways.

it is hard to describe how u feel when u become an adult , i know ppl who are 14 who are "adults" b/c of life experiences then i know ppl who are 25 who are supposed to be adults who have yet to work a day in their lives. so i guess it is a person to person basis.it does feel different. u suddenly realize u cant b.s no more. for me i realized i needed to work to get money not depend on my mom all the time and if i don't have the money to do what i want then go without it.

When you've graduated from College and start a beautiful career making $65,000 a year starting salary and then you buy a house. The World is wonderful...then you get married and your world falls apart.
There goes the house....swoosh
There goes my Cadillac...swoosh
There goes my Savings account...swoosh
There goes part of salary...swoosh
It is simply amazing how a single Woman can marry a Man, have children and send him to hell literally...think about it. His World is gone and why DIVORCE is a mutha especiall when your making good, good money.
Now she has the house, the car and getting $1,000.00 a month our of your salary.
