The biography of Ahmose son of Abana begins ‘the Crew Commander Ahmose son of Abana, the justified’. What does the term justified in an inscription mean about a person?

"Died and been judged worthy by the gods of the afterlife.. The judgement consisted of the so-called ‘negative confessions’ – 400 statements of things you had not done such as ‘O bone-breaker who comes from Heracleopolis, I have not told lies’. The heart being weighed against the feather of truth to see if they had lied. People who could afford it had spells to bias the judgement and it also seems Anubis would fiddle the scales to help a bit as well. Justified is sometimes also translated as ‘true of voice’."

This was maybe what you are looking for. It is all I can find.

Perhaps, justified may also mean that they were "justified" for their honorable position in Egyptian society by the 'gods'.

"Justified" is a free translation of the literal epithet "true of voice". This epithet was added only after the names of the deceased in inscriptions. It was a reference to the egyptian idea that one had to pass the tribunal of the gods, where Thoth measured your heart against Maat's feather, before you were introduced into the beautiful afterlife, before Osiris.

It is also translated as "vindicated".

In this tribunal were 42 other gods, whose names are known only from the negative confessions of the book of the dead. Each god was to be addressed with a negative saying, a denial of wrongdoing. This list is often compared to the ten commandments (as another religious list of negative commands).

P.s. A quick search of the internet reveals: the biography from Ahmose's stela continues:
... son of Abana true of voice, he says: I address you, all people, that you may know the favours I have obtained...
