it's a long story...hope you can help :)
my dad had some work to do in egypt a few years ago, so me and all my family had to go with him, I spent a year to learn the language and decided to enroll in an Egyptian school instead of american so that I could get to know the country better bla bla bla, after spending a year in an Egyptian school (10th grade)I realize that I had made a BIG mistake, and because of the weird rules I couldn't transfer to an American school, the books, being written in another language were so hard for me, somehow I managed to graduate h.s with a GPA of 70%, now I'm planning to apply for college in the US next year, so I took the SAT and had a score of 1400 out of 2400....how terrible ...I know, that's because I didn't study at an American school :). everybody is telling me that I won't get accepted in college (I want to major in medical illustration and take medicine prereqs courses) so now I'm thinking about going back to h.s in the US, I'll add details ....

so now I'm thinking about going back to h.s in the US, or at least to 11th grade and get a good GPA, but everyone is telling me to apply to a commuity college instead, but I don't want to go to a community college because there's no community college that offer a major in medical illustration, so my question is, can I go back to 11th grade in the US? and if yes would the college that I will apply to look at my 11th grade and 12th grade GPA only and wouldn't care about freshman's and sophomore's GPA?

You are obviously fairly intelligent and have probably gotten all you can out of HS. Dont waste your time going back formore HS. Go to a community college and take some general courses there. Whatever 4 year college you pick for medical illustration will require a bunch of crappy general ed courses before you start on your major courses anyway. SO go to community college and take basic english, math, biology, and some other stuff. Do well, get your GPA up and you'll be fine. Dont stress about the SAT. I know people who did well on the SAT, got to good schools, and then dropped out because they couldnt handle the work. I also know people who didnt take the SAT, then went on to community college and then a 4 year University and graduated. You'll be fine. But I seriously recommend against wasting time in HS. Everything they will teach you is stuff you will learn in com college, except in com college you'll actually get credits for it. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You should be able to get accepted at a community college and then you can transfer out to a better school after a semester or a year. Another thing would be making it known that your high school courses were taken in your second language.

EDIT: At the comm. college you'll just be fulfilling option credits anyways and you can start your major after you transfer. No big deal.

1. forget about going back to highschool.
2. goto community college and complete general education and
pre-requisite requirements for college or university level.
3. check on college and universities on-line that offers that major
and complete their pre-req and general ed requirements
on-line.
4. look for internships in that field.
5. plan to study abroad for your major and continue to learn
various other languages and cultures for in the long run that
will be a big plus in the job market.
6. as a rule, if you have lots of money and an overabundance
of personal drive, you will succeed. those who state
that you won't get into college nor fulfill your career, are not
friends, they are acquaintences. suggest, don't hang
around them, their a waste of energy and time.
7. plan on working and studying doublely hard.
