okey Dokey.

Aten is basically the Sun. It is represented by the Sun disk. This disk can be found on the head of Ra, Horus and any other solar diety before and after Akhenatens time. Akhnaten basically stopped worship of all the other gods just to worship this Aten disk which is a symbol for the sun.
Thats basically the idea behind Aten and what it is.
Sun worhip.

Akhenaten was the first recorded monotheist in history. Moses, according to most sources, came later, but I believe that the two are much more closely related than accepted historical records relate. It seems to me too coincidental that the two first recorded believers in one god came from the same part of the world in such a short (relatively) span of time and no authors that I have read have attributed influences from either one to the other.

Ok I think that, well its basically Judaism. Do you know that arqueologists have found the old testament written in Sumerian? These Sumerian priests left mesopotamia for Egypt.
