I had the same question a a few years ago. Looking through everybody's answers, it wouldn't seem to answer my question.
I had pretty much the same problem. Here's my solution. I asked two friends of mine that are girls to help me find a style that I would be most comfortable with. Then we planned a day to spend the whole day at the mall trying on different type of clothing. I went with the prep-ish type of styles. It can be kind of pricey, but whenever I go to the mall, I try and find stores with sales. Or actually, holiday sales are good too. :D
Make sure you go with two females, and make sure they are dedicated to helping you find your style. If you go in a group, then everybody will just get distracted. Have your friends help you by telling them to give their advice on the clothing you seems looks good on you. Also, try and get friends that dress the same style that you think would fit you the most.
That's just one of my solutions, tell me if you still need some more advice. I can even help you myself.
E-mail me if you need advice on some stores and such.

What really counts is who you are (inside). Clothes are secondary as long as you are neat and appropriate (not too revealing). You be surprise at how many girls could care less what you wear as long as you have clean clothes and have a pleasant personality. Maybe you can get a part-time job, save and buy nice clothes that are on sale. (tell your parents you are going to find a par-time job in order to buy new clothes, they will be supportive based on their $$ availability). Do not forget that they were kids before so they will understand you. Good Luck!

Okay first you get a girlfriend then you seduce her with charm you will need a vast vocabulary and an artistic way of putting words together once you have her mesmerised then you express the fact that you need a new wardrobe and that it cost to be around the bo$$

It's ok to have ten changes of clothes. Get one good formal suit to wear that you like. People wear the same suits more often. I prefer black.
What you don't like you can donate to Salvation Army, and keep the ones that fit you along with new clothes you have bought.

each so often, outfits get contained in the way. different cases, it truly is basically too warm. i'm gentle being bare. yet I honestly could conceal up my body so the lads' hands is basically no longer throughout me. Boys are so annoying. each so often i love outfits, yet in consumer-friendly words even as i'm wearing some thing that pushes the envelope. no longer some thing interior commonplace criteria will achieve this.

you can do small things to alter the look of your cloths. Use accessory to make small changes. wear vests, scarfs, jackets. Just wear the cloths in different ways.

You are not alone. Goto a Thift Store or second hand store. Or maybe start a clothes swap at your school... Sure they will see their old clothes, but by mixing and matching you will make new combinations.
