The first names I thought of when choosing this name was Justice, Justien, Justiena. I just want to know if you think this was the best choice for my little girl. (Justaya Carter)

Is this already her name? Justaya is very unique. It sounds too much to me like a phrase, "Just stay 'ah". And you will also likely have a lot of pronunciation problems. For this reason, I dont really like it. Other variants are cute and easier like Justine. I will say though that Justaya has great name flow with Carter.

Giving your child a name that is hard to pronounce will be terrible for them. The fact that you had to phonetically write out the pronunciation should be your first clue.

Also, all of the names above except Justice sound like someone just randomly thought of them - they shound manufactured and the uniqueness you'll get out of them will be perfunctory.

Anyone can think of a random name -
Aliasha, Jenady, Prinnia...
but thinking of a truly beautiful name is hard work.

Take Helena Bonham Carter, for example. Her last name is the same as yours and her name, while not completely random or totally unique or unheard of, is BEAUTIFUL.

I suggest perusing a baby name website for classic, lovely names, rather than of-the-moment names that will be outdated by the time your daughter is an adult.

At 1st I liked it but then I realised it could be pronounced Just - stay- there! In kids bad accents today....

Im a teacher and guess I look for these things - I love Justien!

I like all of them except for Justice. I think it sounds more like a boys name. But that doesn't mean it won't work. I love the Justaya Carter. I think it sounds very pretty and it would fit a little girl.

Justien would be cool spelled like Justienne.

Or Justiena.
Sorry, don't really like Justaya.

It sounds sloppy, Justaya, Just-a-Burger, Just-a-Fry. It doesn't flow well and opens the door for ridicule...hey Justaya how bout Just-a-Kiss...and other things. I shudder the thought.

Take a step backwards, Justice was fine, Justine is lovely.

I think its a cool name, but I would think the name were for someone african american; it's a powerful name. Justiena is a good choice too and also very unique.

I love Justice and Justiena!! I think they are beautiful and show character, and I can't think of a single way for them to be twisted so she'll be made fun of!
