I have Just Bought a Celica but after all my time looking around at rubbish i got one but it is a automatic and just want to know how hard is it to change to a manual as thats what i wanted and can i do it myself or would it have to go to mechanics.

If you are not mechanically inclined/experienced find a shop to do the work for you. maybe a small shop that will allow you to assist.
It is not all too complicated, just a real PIA.
There will be some electrical issues that you need to work out and installation of a clutch/brake pedal assembly.

I would get my hands on a simular Celica donor car and keep it on hand until the entire job is completed. So if you need trim piece or anything you don't have to go shopping again.
photograph everything in the donor car before starting to strip it down for later installation reference.

It depends on ur level of mechanical skills. You would have to get the new tranny all the linkage cut a hole in ur firewall for a clutch. And thats just for starters exp if u get a hydraulic transmission. Hope that helps alil.
