There are many mass numbers for Potassium and Calcium because there are many isotopes of the elements. The one that you see in the periodic table is the ratio of all the mass numbers which came from the isotopes.
Calcium can have a mass number of 40 while potassium can have a mass number of 39 (this is the common mass number among the isotopes of the element).
