If your PCs BIOS has the option choose "Legacy Support" under USB devices/options.

If not just borrow a wired keyboard & mouse from a friend.

Interesting problem..Usually your BIOS (usually by pressing F2 on bootup) will have an option to enable USB while outside windows...however if there is no such option then you will have to go out and pay $2 at your local thrift shop (e.g. GoodWill or Salvation Army) for a keybaord that plugs into the standard keyboard port...you wont need a mouse to install Windows ME since you can use keyboard just fine.

I'm suprised that you got Windows ME working with a USB keyboard and mouse at all!

Are there ports on your computer for the older style of keyboard and mouse still? If so, you may have to borrow a keyboard and mouse from a friend to get it installed.

yes phillip T is right but i think it's funny how none of them twigged that to enter your BIOS or edit it or anything you need to be able to use the keyboard!!! so you WILL have to borrow a non USB keyboard or buy one cos they are cheap and are usefull for the reason you need it for.
