Just how would it be to meet someone who liked the very same movies and could debate them with you, scene for scene. Or someone who was obsessed with the same band or a particular type of car.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Yes, and we've been best friends for a long time. Now if we could just find a couple of guys that are just as obsessed, we'd be one big happy group.

I have found that while a certain degree of commonality is essential (or virtually so), some differences in interest and opinion make for healthy exchange. Two people can learn from and enrich each other.
"Shared obsession," on the other hand, can be good or can lead to the development of a "single-minded" relationship, with little foundation apart from that shared interest.

Yes most of the relationships I've been in but not including my first marriage or last boyfriend but with my best friend, then current boyfriend and soon to be husband. That's the reason we decided to get married and reason why I nearly married my best friend but I couldn't do that one and if I had done that one I wouldn't be where I am and what I am doing now.

Yes I did meet someone who was obsessed with the same thing I was obsessed with. No We did not fall in love. :-(

I dated a girl who was just as sex crazy as I am. Ironically her bed was a mirror image of mine and she hadn't ever seen my room before. Plus we are both Pisces. Too bad it didn't work out, she had addictions to alcohol and drugs.
