Cambridge Downtown (UK) - Hotel Hunt & Travel Info. Help Pls??

We're looking for a hotel in Cambridge Downtown, can you suggest something that's economical? Also, I need to know how far it is from London City and how I can get there (train, bus or cab) and which is most economical. It's for a person with a disability.

There is no Cambridge Downtown in the UK...there is a Cambridge though.
