Is gettin a pin and scrape'in it on your wrist so you bleed when you are really angry the same as cutting yourself?

Similar enough to be worrying, same self-harming. I would advise counselling if the person is unable to channel their anger externally, such as punching cushions or anything else 'harmless'.

taking anything sharp to your skin and making yourself bleed is cutting trust me i know from experience.
