If it bothers you that much and you feel it will be cumbersome to deal with for a stretch of several years, then yes.
I read (wish i could remember the name) an article long time ago about how people are picky when it comes to reading names from resumes and how some people land great jobs as a result and others get rejected (one anonymous recruiter admitted he didn't want to hire the guy because he had an unpronounceable name). So if you're gonna pick out a name, pick a winner!

If you want to change it, change it.
But remember,
1) people like to tease, so maybe your new name will be "teasable"
2) maybe you will hurt your parents' feelings
My name is Ralf. How is that for a not so great name?? I often disliked it when i was young but now I actually like it, because it is not that common (and it is always easy for people to remember).
SO . . . i say give yourself some time to live with Rudy a while and if it REALLY is bringing you down, then you can change it. (not sure your age and if age matters with respect to being able to change your name - minors maybe cannot change name on their own)

If its that bad mate, change it is it makes your life 'easier' But at the end of the day, look at some of the people in hollywood that walk around calling themselves 'snoop dog' or 'puff daddy' & no one really cares. Its them and thats what their comfortable with.
Atleast your name is francis.
Rudy loves the Boody.Make some light out of it. laugh back.

What about your middle name? It's a big deal to change your name, maybe you'll feel differently about it when you get older. I think Rudy is a decent name, I can think of much worse.

I don't think you should; if stupid people tease you it's their problem, not yours; don't let silly people affect who you are. Besides, Rudy is a nice name.

Depends if you want to work for it. You got to change your driver's license, social security, passport, credit cards.......
Rudy doesn't sound too bad anyways. You'll grow out of it.

You can change your name..but it would be far better to change your attitude...ignore them...Rudy is fine as a name.

Wait until you are...19. Work out for a year and see if you like it as is. Perhaps alter it to Rudyard?

No one's going to call you the new name unless you recycle all the people in your life.
