Yes they do. The antartic research stations are connected via sattilites that constantly circle the earth. However, there are not 'Thousands' of people down there. At most a couple of Hundred.

The little temp labs down there do have there own internet they have stuff like dsl

I am sure they do. Satellite connections are used.
There are thousands of people there, mainly researchers and explorers, and they can communicate via internet.

No, there are only scientists and some tourists. They use radio signals for communication. Hope this helped.
