Almost one year from the death of a friend, she appeared in a dream and said, "You don't get it it. It's not about being nice, you are your own vessel." She left and did not explain. What does she mean?

The vessel she was talking about was your physical body, but that may have been obvious. Saying "You are your own vessel" means, live for yourself. You also have to look at the part that says "It's not about being nice...", you're probably someone who would give even if it hurts you. Here's an example:

Someone you know is in need of money, but you are too, but you like this friend and you want to help, but the only money you have, you need. As much as you want to give your friend some money, you need it to survive. If you're on the edge of a cliff, and have just caught someone who fell, but they're too heavy, don't fall with them, there's nothing you can do. Let go.

I would say "you are what u eat"
so the shape of the vessel relates to the shape of your body

YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE and you will probably not change unless something drastic makes you change.
