Is the word ‘intelligent’ a complement word for people who whine and talk about garbage that doesn’t resolve to anything? Like if I was talking to a genius, and aimed a gun to his head, what would all that bullshit he reads and Nobel Prize winning, and theories do for him? BANG ************. But if I was talking to a common sensed infused person, who wasn’t intelligent and had street smarts, if I aimed a gun to his head…10 seconds later I would be in hospital. E=mc2? good for you BANG. Wat yo talking bout mofo bust a cap in yo ***! And he would own me. Do you see where im coming from? BANG ************ BANG BANG BANG BANG. Sorry I got a bit excited. This wasn’t really a question, it was to the highbrows that run stupid people down for not masturbating to chess pieces.

To the people who answerd you all missed my point. One idiot started talking about being advanced in technology and so forth... SO WHAT IDIOT. WHO INVENTED TANKS,GUNS,CHEMICAL WARFARE, BULL **** SOCIETY, THE WHITE HOUSE, GOVERNMENTS. Without these things life would be so much better. Intelligent people make intelligent problems. And by the way my IQ (officially tested) is 128. But that's all the intelligence i need to know that idiots like you people make the world a harder place to live. Now... I'm not against chess, learning about things. But applying them so that the highbrows can be labled 'smarter' makes society complexed and makes life complex. If you want to live like a hermit that dosent enjoy life and just reads books, go knock yourself out (literally). But if you want to appreciate life and stop questioning peoples beliefs, and turning professionalism into a achievement instead of making the world a better place that would be so much better.

If your question wasn't phrased so idiotically this might be a more interesting debate for more people to engage in.

The answer is simple though. You talk about street smarts, that can be taken to mean a lot of things, most importantly how to survive in a particular environment.

Let's talk about Desert Storm, the first Iraq war when Iraq actually fought back, however ineffectually. All you need to know is that every single one of their tanks was destroyed before they even knew we were there. That was their territory, their land, but we destroyed them with ease, on their streets so to speak. And that was because we were smarter. We had better technology, and that technology was invented by the smart people you talk about shooting in the head.

Whose equations do you think helped America build the first nuclear bomb and thus end WW2? That right, Einstein. Intelligence is the most powerful force mankind has ever had at its disposal. I'm not saying it is the be all end all, but when applied properly it is far more powerful the the kind of person to person violence you are describing.

Honestly, Doom Squirrel, as much as I want intelligence, and as attractive as I find the Queen chess piece (I think she's actually a female queen, not a queen you'd see going to the gay bars), I can honestly say that I am in nowhere near the level of need for intelligence that you are.

Anyone can be shot. Anyone can shoot someone. A person with a certain type of intelligence (and good reflexes) could probably disarm you. But a person with another kind of intelligence could probably talk you out of it, too.

See, without intelligence, you wouldn't have the opportunity to blaze away on an anonymous forum with your bedroom-gangsta posing, because no one would have invented computers, corporations (one of which pays the tab for this) or the internet. Overall, I would say that intelligence has been very kind to you (even though I'd suspect it's given you a pretty wide berth).

Now either ask a question, or stop wasting Yahoo's bandwidth. I have people in need of my help.

In the case you described, no 'intelligent' guy would really go up to a 'person with street smarts' and ask about E=mc2. But yes, there are some places and situations intelligence won't get you out of.
