depends how far your willing to go. if you want the size, ipods. but, the battery is internal, which means its inside so u cant replace it. or maybe you can, but from what i heard you cant. also the ipod battery doesnt last very long, maybe 2? hours? honestly, philips psp SUCK. i bought one, and it died. NEVER BUY. ABSOLUTELY NO PHILIPS. i heard Zens are pretty good. You could always try a zen, and its touch pad. I once found a 30 gig Zen for 90 dollers. Maybe you'll have the luck of finding that.
Honestly, if fyou want an all in one package, i defintiley suggest the psp. plays mp3's, mp4's, wmas. can store photos, internet, and games. also the psps battery is external, and you can change the memory card. You can get a 1 gig memory card for about 30 now. goodluck

well i would rather say go for an ipod shuffle to spend less a nano to spend more and the ipod(video) to spend the most - just ipods they r the best i have a nano
if going for a nano never go for a 8GB nano it is almost the same price(here) as the 30GB ipod which is capable of playing videos so go for ipod and if not ipod then any Sony MP3 player

PSP, not only you can play games on it, you can watch movies and put music in it. You can buy as much memory cards you want to have more space. It is now cheaper because the Xbox 360 is out and so is the PS3. You can also plug earphones in it. And it is easy to control.

u just go for an ipod but not the nano, just go for the bigger one which is 30GB memeory and u can use it for vedio also
