You have to buy them. Microsoft points cost 1.25 pennies per point, which means 100 points costs a dollar and 25 cents. The only way to get them free is to watch for promotions on your xbox dashboard, as well as xbox.com and xboxlive.com. They had free microsoft points promos when the 360 first came out, like free points with a pap johns pizza, or signing up for some chump dating site. Ive googled and googled for the past week looking for promos, but they dont have any anymore. I need like 6400 points to get everything i want lol, so i have to pay for 7000 points just to get what i need, and that will cost me $87.50 to do that.
