Wow 4 kids in a Corolla!
I would look into a small van like the Mazda MPV or Toyota Sienna. I love American cars, but I dont think there is a really good dependable American minivan on the market.

I base this on my experience as a mechanic and which types need more maintenance and major repairs. Stay away from the older dodge/chrysler minivans. They have weak transmissions.

Good luck on your car search

well you could go import, like a sienna, or Odyssey, but you will pay i good penny for it. there are a large variety of 04 and newer domestic vans on the market that will cost you less. cheapest being the ford windstar/freestar. dont recommend these because the resale, and reliability suck. from there, you have the dodge caravan ,and any GM Montana, venture, silhouette. i know that GM minivans with the 3.4L are known to blow intake gaskets, but otherwise good quality van. the caravan is priced well, and have improved their design, and i think is the best bang for your buck.
