i am a brahmin(the highest caste) girl and i am madly deeply in love with a guy from different caste. he too loves me heart and soul. but my parents will nt accept it.. as in india, marriage shud happen with parents' permission, i am worrying a lot. i have a sister too.. everyone scaring me that my sister will nt get a nice guy from my caste if i marry my man. my sister wants her husband to be my caste. i am nt sure whether in western countries caste do matters.. but in india, it matters a lot and hope indians can understand that.. wat shud be my move...? i dnt want to go against my parents.. i want to get their permission to marry my man.. and at any cost, i cant leave my man. please friends.. help me.

No. Intercaste marriage is not sin at all. I'm also a brahmin. My sister is married to other caste so is my brother.
Intercaste is a excuse that usually parents give to their child for not giving their permission for love marriage. If your boy friend is also a brahmin they would come up with another excuse.
But the strange thing after all, that inspite this parents are often right. Main thing one should focus that
* did the guy is right for me?
* Did the guy is right for my family?
* Don't forget in India marriages are not just bond of two people, it is a bond of severel families.
* We all raised with diffenrent valuesand some very very personal family traditions. are my "would be hubby" or I be comfortable with them?

I have a couple of friends from India that told me that it's not a sin to marrie someone else from a different culture or countrie. My advise to you is if you live in this countrie (US) or any free countrie in the world and you are atleast or over 18 years old then marrie the guy,I know you'r parenst will understand later on and If you'r guy is a good person and tries to win them later on they will accept you'r relationship with him. So don't worry about any thing because nothing will hapen,but what ever you do never leasten to someone that wants you to do something that will not make you happy and that you will regreat for the rest of your life.

this is wrong for the country of the oldest caste system, and the penalty is death for some. it is culturally wrong , you know this.
if you want to change this and are willing to die for this or lose everything then that is fine there is nothing wrong with that, however dont go into this decision with or eyes closed or try to validate your love by rationalizing if it is sin or not ask yourself are you and both of your families prepared to deal with the consequences of your actions or can you move out of the country and live elsewhere will it is not an issue

I am 100% sure girls from the bramin cast are like that but bramin boys never go for other community girls because they dont want to spoil the other community .
