around 30 or 40 is good not many cars get better than 40

30mpg. The sticker on the side of new cars says a little less then what they can get if you're not a lead foot. A 4 cyl. is worth the extra mileage these days.

Depends on the vehicle and motor type. I would say across the board anything getting better then 30-35 miles per gallon is doing really good.

It depends on the engine size....
8 cylinders, to get 15mph and over on the highway is great.
6 cylinders- over 20mpg is good.
4 cylinders- 30mpg and up is very good.

This is funny, I had to throw this in. Ford with its 500HP Mustang V-8 claim 22 mpg on the highway... HAHAHA!!!!! what liars How do these car manufacturers get away with these fantasy lies?
