The bible does not say to cut it off. It says for israelites to cut it off, and that was a way to make them special from other peoples at the time, and separate them from the rest of the animals since they were "godlike". In Genesis, it stated that if a male was not circumcised, he was not in favor with god, but keep in mind this was again written as a message to the jews. Circumcism was practiced by a lot of ancient religions, and the jews adopted it as a way to make them stand out, or at least to identify each other.
All religions are manmade, so anything in them was created and developed by some man or men hundreds or thousands of years ago. Not cutting off your foreskin will not make you go to hell; if anyone with any logic would think--foreskins are natural. so why would removing it be a natural thing? Again, it all goes back to man raising himself up above the other animals.
Foreskins are not unhealthy, 2 billion men have them, anyone that says they are are well uninformed. There is no medical reason to remove a foreskin, except in very very rare instances.

God made it. How can it be a sin to keep it?
Should we continue to allow the sexual disfigurement of baby boys through circumcision? The world seems to get up in arms when we hear about little girls in the middle east where it is too common to circumcise them. But we do the same thing to little boys in the USA and many other countries. The girl's circumcisions are done to reduce the amount of pleasure the girl has during sex.
Cutting off the foreskin removes what is probably the most sensitive part of a man. Why should we reduce his pleasure during sex?

Foreskin of the male genitalia, (foreskin scientific name= prepucius), is a normal part of skin that covers the tip of the penis or male organ, is a normal portion of the human body, and does not need to be removed.
There is reason for the existance of the foreskin, as it is for any other part of the body.
The concept of the compulsory excision of the foreskin is valid in some religions, mainly, the Jewish with all due respect, the excision of the foreskin does not substitute the daily higyene (washing withsoap and water),
sincerely

NO! Having a foreskin is not a sin!
Mutilating babies and children is a sin! Circumcision, the amputation of the foreskin, is a mutilation. It leaves a scar and reduces the function of the male.
Before you have this procedure done, you should know that there is a very real risk of loss of sensitivity as this study shows.

Masood S, Patel HR, Himpson RC, Palmer JH, Mufti GR, Sheriff MK.
Excerpts from the report:
OBJECTIVES: Currently no consensus exists about the role of the foreskin or the effect circumcision has on penile sensitivity and overall sexual satisfaction. Our study assesses the effect of circumcision on sexually active men and the relative impact this may have on informed consent prior to surgery.
Penile sensation improved after circumcision in 38% (p = 0.01) but got worse in 18%, with the remainder having no change. Overall satisfaction was 61%.
CONCLUSIONS: Penile sensitivity had variable outcomes after circumcision. The poor outcome of circumcision considered by overall satisfaction rates suggests that when we circumcise men, these outcome data should be discussed during the informed consent process. 2005 S. Karger AG, Basel
One out of five men circumcised suffers loss of sensitivity; one out of ten has painful erections or bleeding from sexual activity. All together, more than one out of three is not happy with the results; these are not very good odds.
I would point out that while this study shows that adult men should be warned of the possibility of sensitivity loss before they can give "informed consent" to circumcision, there is no way that a newborn boy can give his informed consent to an elective procedure that has greater than 1 in 5 chance of leaving him with an impaired sex-life.
His body. His choice.

The Old Testament might've said to cut it off, but the things in the Old Testament don't really mean anything today, I mean, you don't have to do those things anymore.
God made men with foreskin. So it's not a sin to be the way you were made.

for crying out loud, how can this possibly be a sin? it's a part of the body males are born with. i have 3 sons...they are all "intact." i wouldn't dream of removing a part of their bodies that is supposed to be there. maybe this is more culturally acceptable because we're natives? i don't really know. but i do know there are so many other things in life to worry about. i know some males who are still pissed off at their mothers for having it removed. and if you think getting kicked in the groin hurts, i can only imagine what being circumcised as an adult would feel like. yikes.

In the New Testament Jesus very specifically says that guys do NOT have to be circumcised. Cutting it off is an insult to God - it's like saying God made a mistake, and you know better how a man's body should be designed than He does!

no. in paul's letters he tells us that circumcision is no longer necessary and that men should leave their penises as is. at that time people were both getting circumcized, thinking they had to obey the old law, which no longer applied according to God, or even attempting to reconstruct their foreskins to be more like the romans. he clearly states it doesn't matter and should not be altered for the sake of the faith. i wish i could give you an exact reference, but i'm sure it's not hard to look up. like i said it's in the pauline epistles.
