Ok, my microphone used to work and be recognized and everything, but one day, I can't remember anything that caused it to stop working, but it did. I've been through so much to fix this damn thing, and I still haven't, so I'll try here.
It's a simple stand up plantronics microphone, and there doesn't seem to be any drivers for it online, Plantronics only has like 5 drivers for headsets. See, the problem is when I plug it in my sound manager will show I have a microphone plugged in and everything, but when I go to Sounds and Audio Devices ---> Voice and select my sound card, which is the only option. Now, under voice recording I press volume, and the box labeled select is unchcecked. I can't check it. Also, when I press test hardware, no sound gets through to my computer.
Please help me!! I would appreciate it so much!

It appears that the problem is with the sound card drivers ... not the microphone.

I suggest you reinstall the drivers for your sound card .... use the "add/remove hardware" feature in "control panel" ;

- remove the sound card from the list
- reboot your PC

If the sound features used to work it should automatically reinstall the correct drivers.
Odds are that they were corrupted or replaced during a previous attempt to install the Platronics software/utilities.
